Damba Ganbat   Academy of Political Education, Mongolia

Gamba Ganbat is the Executive Director of the Academy of Political Education in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The Academy of Political Education is a non-government agency which engages in training and lectures both in the city and countryside and has made key contributions in promoting democratic values such as human rights and freedoms, rule of law, role of an individual in the society, democratic elections and many others. The Academy has been publishing the quarterly magazine “Shine Toli” since 1993. His research interests include democratic transition, human rights, reform of social structure, elections, and many other subjects. From 1996 to 1998, he worked in the Aid Coordination Unit under the Prime Minister’s office dealing with issues such coordination, appraisal and evaluation of foreign aid provided to Mongolia. He became Ph.D. in 2002 at the Academy of Science of Mongolia.
