Doh Chull Shin University of Missouri Doh Chull Shin is Professor of Political Science at the University of Missouri at Columbia in the United States. For the past 15 years, he has directed the Korea Democracy Barometer program to monitor the dynamics of economic and democratic reforms and their consequences for the quality of life in Korea. His current research focuses on the quality of democracy and the sophistication of the mass public about democratic politics. His recent publications include Mass Politics and Culture in Democratizing Korea (Cambridge, 1999), The Quality of Life in Korea (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2003) and Economic Transition and Dual Transition in Korea (Seoul National University, 2004). |
