Alexander Görlach serves as an F.D. Roosevelt Foundation In Defense of Democracy Affiliate Professor at Harvard University College and as a Fellow at the Center for Research in Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) at the University of Cambridge. Alex is a senior fellow to the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Relations and a senior advisor to the Berggruen Institut. He holds a PhD in linguistic and in comparative religion. Alex publishes the online-magazine  www.saveliberaldemocracy.com, is the founder of the debate magazine The European  and is, amongst others, an author to the New York Times and the Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
