On October 20, Professor Tom Scotto from the University of Strathclyde gave a talk at the Center for East Asia Democratic Studies on how values structure foreign policy attitudes. The talk sparked lively intellectual discussions on the tensions in the empirical literature and how values have been measured in the past four waves of the Asian Barometer Survey in comparison with Professor Scotto's approach to measurement.
