Dear colleagues in academia,

We cordially invite you to participate in an important International Conference aimed at exploring the impact and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic on global democracy. This conference will provide us with a platform to gain in-depth understanding of the current state of democracy in the post-pandemic era and to examine the democratic performances exhibited by different countries in response to the crisis.

COVID-19 has been the most severe pandemic in recent history, affecting various aspects of human life. In this challenging time, democratic systems around the world face unprecedented tests. We believe that only through sharing knowledge, experiences, and perspectives can we better understand these challenges and seek solutions. Therefore, this conference will bring together top experts and scholars from various countries, using the Asian Barometer Survey databsets and adopting diverse academic perspectives, to explore the changes, impacts, and transformations of democratic systems in the post-pandemic era.

Our topics will include, but are not limited to, the following:

➢ The current state of democratization in the post-pandemic era: trends, challenges, and prospects

➢ Changes of democratic governance models in response to the pandemic in different countries

➢ Regime support and political attitude changes in the post-pandemic era

➢ Cross-national analysis and comparison of democratic prospects and political trust

➢ Comparative analysis and experience sharing of democratic attitudes across different countries in the post-pandemic era
